Let me guess- you’re here because some part of you is hungry for something real. Maybe you’re exhausted from trying to keep it all together. Maybe you’ve spent years hiding the “too much” parts of yourself. Or maybe you're just ready for more- more joy, more connection, more you.
Same.
I spent decades trying to be the version of myself that would make everyone else comfortable. Smiling when I wanted to scream. Shrinking when I should’ve stood tall. Saying yes to things I didn’t want, and no to myself over and over again.
And then- my body, my soul, my entire life broke wide open.
I lost 100 pounds. Not through shame. Not through starving or shots. But through deep, radical self-love. I rewrote the way I fed myself- body, mind, and spirit. I healed nerve pain, depression, OCD, and chronic fatigue. I walked through divorce. Financial rock bottom. Career redirection. Motherhood. Deep grief. And I did it all while figuring out how to stop disappearing and start becoming.
I’m now the creator of Ridiculously You and The Ridiculous Women Society- a self-love rebellion where women come to heal, laugh, be honest, and show up for the life they were born to live. We ditch the perfection BS and fall wildly in love with even the weird, quirky, “not-ready-for-Instagram” parts of ourselves. Out loud.
I’m also an award-winning international speaker (yep, I’ve spoken in Paris, London, Jamaica, Disney World, and on cruise ships too). My speaking style is bold, unexpected, and full of permission slips for people to drop the mask and come home to themselves. It’s not for everyone- and that’s exactly the point.
Whether I’m leading a retreat, coaching a woman through a life or business breakthrough, or saying something slightly ridiculous into a microphone on my podcast, it all comes down to this:
You are not too much. Your healing is not inconvenient. And the ridiculous, messy, bold version of you? She’s the most powerful thing you’ve got.
If you're still reading this, then maybe you’re one of us.
Let’s connect. There’s room at my table for your full self. Especially the parts you were told to tone down.
With love and ridiculously red lipstick,
- Julie May
1 ) You don’t need fixing. You need seeing.
2 ) Boundaries aren’t boxing gloves; they’re garden gates.
3 ) Self‑love without self‑responsibility is just ego on vacation.
4 ) Everybody is beautiful- and love means feeding it, moving it, and resting it like you actually care.
5 ) “Too much” was never the problem; shrinking was.
6 ) Sometimes you need to be okay with being the villain in someone else’s story in order to live your own story.
